WELCOME TO THE 30TH CIRCUIT CENTER 

This center was built in Bolivar, Mo through the cooperative agreements of the five counties of this Circuit in 1997. The Center has 24 beds; 16 shelter and 8 secure detention.

 

Located in the heart of Bolivar, Missouri, just thirty minutes north of Springfield, 30th Circuit Youth Services, Inc. (TCYS) provides the "cutting edge" in Emergency Shelter Care for abused and neglected children and Juvenile Detention Services for Juvenile Courts and State Social Service Divisions.  The Center building project was completed in March, 1997 under the supervision of the Honorable Theodore B. Scott, Presiding Judge of the 30th Judicial Circuit and TCYS's first Board of Directors.  The project was funded by the Counties comprising the 30th Circuit. The Center is a 24 bed facility with an architectural design comprising two separate and distinct service areas which together approximate 17,000 square feet of operational space. Wing One provides a round-the-clock "secure detention" environment for Juvenile Offenders. Wing Two provides a "non-secure" environment for abused and neglected children. The children have access to a wide range of services. They are taught school by certified teachers in classrooms at the Center.  Medical services are provided as well as psychological services as needed with one group therapy session per week. Of course, recreation therapy is a high priority as the Center's 1,530 square foot multi-purpose room provides ample space for the "Project Adventure" program, "Tae Bo" program, and other recreational activities.  The TCYS Staff consists of legal, medical, psychological, and correctional professionals who's love and concern for the plight of youth can be best expressed by the TCYS Mission Statement: "...provides...with a safe place, and gives them hope for the future....".  All admission inquires may be made by calling TCYS Superintendent/Administrator Randolph L.
